He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Channell and Olive Griffin; his stepfather Jesse Griffin; his brother-in-law Bob Cowen; and his cousin Wayne Sharpe.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Channell; his children, Chris Klimkowski (Paul), Melinda Wagner (Don) and Jeff Channell (Alicia); his grandchildren, Angela Randall (Nick), Taylor Krumm (Ryan DeWine), Nicole Klimkowski, Jake Channell, Megan Violet-Channell, Jason Channell, Jalyn Channell and Bentley Channell; his great grandchildren, Macie DeWine, Brody Randall, Mason Randall and Liam DeWine; and his sister Karen Cook. He is also survived by other relatives, church family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Allen's memory to Hospice of Miami County.
