He was predeceased by: his father Harry Ferguson; his former wife Bonnie Sue Ferguson (Wells); his daughter Sherry Ferguson; and his brother Lowell "Bo" Ferguson. He is survived by: his wife Rita Ferguson (Knox); his son Scott Ferguson (Patty) of Troy; his grandchildren, Sandra Wills (Richard), Cory Griffieth, Jaelynne Griffieth and Josh Ferguson (Erica); his great grandchildren, Anna, Ian, Avery Sue and Emmett; his stepson Wayne E. Hale Jr. (Courtney) of Troy; and his brothers, Terry Ross (Shelly) of Proctorville and Donnie Ross of Columbus.
