He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman L. Phillips and Thelma Phillips; and his wife Linda Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Tabitha Parkinson of Dayton and Charles "Chad" Phillips Jr. (Amanda Wolfe) of Christiansburg; and his brother Leroy Phillips (Gail) of Florida. He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
