He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Duane Heckman and Helen Heckman (McFadden) of Piqua; his children, Harmony Rolf of Troy and Hayden Heckman of Troy; and his siblings, Amy Harvey (Bryan) of Troy, Julie Thorpe (Ken) of Marietta, GA, Joelle McGlohorn of Chapin, SC, Michael Heckman (Becky) of Troy and Mollie Brown of Troy. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, and good friends.
