He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobart Welbaum and Marguerite Welbaum (Dye); his wife Inez Welbaum (Mote); and his siblings, Kenneth Welbaum, Deanna Tamerman, Fred Welbaum, Rodger Welbaum, Jean Waldheim, Nancy Wintrow, Gordan Welbaum, Philip Welbaum and Janet Jo Thompson.

He is survived by: his children, Timothy Welbaum Sr. (Lori) of Milford, MI, Micheal Welbaum of Troy, Jeffrey Welbaum Sr. of Troy and Judy Fisher (Timothy) of Maumee; his brother Gilbert Welbaum; and his sister-in-law Rosa Lee Welbaum. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
