He was predeceased by : his parents, Tom Tarcea and Alde Tarcea; and his sister Helen Minnich. He is survived by : his wife Marilyn; his sons, John Tarcea (Kelly) and Joe Tarcea (Melissa); his grandchildren, Brailyn Conley (AJ), Madison Tarcea, Paige Jackson (Jon) and Payton Harner; and his great grandchildren, Asher, Ashton, Chase, Connor, Gracie and Holden.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in John's name.
