She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry "Hank" and Nellie Retter (Pearson); her husband Jack Burt; Sharon Retter-Strong and Susan Retter.

She is survived by: her daughters, Jessica Bankston and Jill Burt (Steve Scothorn); her grandchildren, Tony Manfredi (Hailee Rittinger) and Danielle Manfredi (Jiri Krejci); and her siblings, Marciel Marcus and James Retter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
