He was predeceased by: his father John "George" Hess; and his grandson Adam Bryant. He is survived by: his wife Judy Hess (McMaken) of Troy; his children, Becky Stillwell of West Milton, Kendra Hess of Springfield, OH, Cathy Lester of Piqua, Stephanie Maggert (Kevin) of Piqua and James Hess (Katie); his stepsons, Dale Miller (Angie) of West Mansfield and Jerry Miller (Melinda) of Noblesville, IN; and his siblings, Randy Hess of Troy, Linda Cline (Bill) of Mt. Sterling, OH and Debi Osting (Phil) of Troy. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
