We are sad to announce that on August 3, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Lester Karns of Troy, Ohio. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Luella Karns (Boroff) and Irvin Karns; his siblings, Bonnie Thornhill, Eddie and Kenny Karns; and his grandson Thomas "BJ" Harrison.

He is survived by : his wife Joyce Leann Ward Karns of Troy; his children, Kendra Ward Hudgins (Edward) of Troy, Joe and Ashley Karns; his brother Richard Karns (Sharon) of Conover; his brother-in-law Harold Thornhill of Port Charlotte, FL; his granddaughters, Keya Harrison Winkfield (Michael) of Columbus and Donielle Harrison of Troy; his great grandchildren, Kohen and Langston Winkfield of Columbus; and his close friend Jeff Schwierking of St. Paris. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be given to Hospice of Miami County.

Mike Gorman wrote a sympathy message

“Joyce, Kris and I are so sorry to hear about Les. I first met him back in 2015 while we were both at UVMC. It quickly felt like Les and I had known each other for 30 years or so. Les had a great sense of humor and was so quick witted that I could not stop laughing. I will miss my friend Lester and I am so pissed at myself for not visiting him more. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers Joyce! Mike & Kris Gorman!”
