He was predeceased by: his father Floyd Russell; his daughter Brenda Newberg; and his siblings, Doris Whipp, Vera Fries, Bernard Perry, Doyle Perry, Jean Perry, Ivory Perry and Lloyd Perry.

He is survived by: his wife Ruby Diane Perry (Cupps); his brothers, Harold Perry of Piqua, Chester Perry (Norma) of Christiansburg and Larry Perry of Christiansburg; his granddaughter Natasha Gilardi; and his great grandchildren, Kayla Gilardi, Cavin Gilardi, Kinsley Gilardi and James Gilardi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
