Though Marvin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marvin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph R. Buchanan and Dorothy Amelia Buchanan (Klein); his wife Sharon Elaine Buchanan (Macy); and his brother Ralph R. Buchanan Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Beth Hunter (Dean) of Troy, Scott Allen Buchanan (Tamara Ellis) of Troy and Craig J. Buchanan (Barbara) of Unicoi, TN. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Baird Funeral Home (555 N Market St, Troy, OH 45373). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
