He was predeceased by: his father James Leroy Franklin; his daughter Robin Cantrell; his brothers, Mike Manson and James Manson; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Manson, Linda Manson and Kenny Warner.

He is survived by: his wife Kristy L. Manson (Becker); his children, Robert D. Manson of Troy, Sharon Miller of Piqua and Rodney Manson; his siblings, Dixie Warner of Troy, Steve Manson of Troy and Joe Manson of Troy; and his sister-in-law Sue Manson of West Milton. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
