He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Erwin and Asenath Erwin (Barger); his siblings, Robert Erwin and Marvalene Kizer; and his daughter-in-law Kimberly Erwin.
He is survived by: his wife Kathie L. Erwin (Hitchcock); his children, Matthew E. Erwin (Julie Sillman) of Troy, Lisa Smiley (Dave) of Ft. Myers, FL and Shelley Erwin of Troy; his grandchildren, Joshua Smiley (Kirsten) of Hermitage, TN, Hannah Woodruff (Mitch) of Marysville, Zachariah Erwin of Troy and Braedon Erwin of Troy; his great grandchildren, Leah Smiley, Beau Smiley of Hermitage, TN and Waylon Woodruff of Marysville; his brother Donald J. Erwin (Barbara) of Urbana; his sister-in-law Nancy Erwin of Bellefontaine; and his pet Roman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Baird Funeral Home (555 N Market St, Troy, OH 45373). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (110 W Franklin St, Troy, OH 45373).
