He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Lois Cairns (McClain) and Samuel Craig Cairns Sr. of Troy; and his niece Christine A. Murray of Cincinnati. He is survived by: his wife Judy Cairns (Dixon) of Troy; and his siblings, Joan Murray (John) of Cincinnati and Thomas H. Cairns of Ruskin. He is also survived by his family and pets.
