She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Blakley and Lorene Blakley (Hamby); her husband Gene Short; her son Ron Short; and her siblings, Billy Ray, Louis, Charles, Wilma (Risden), Mildred (Adkins) and Louise.

She is survived by: her brothers, Ralph Blakley (Gale) and Mike Blakley; her sons, Chuck Short (Robin) and Greg Short (Kristy); her grandchildren, Scott Short (Tristen), Matt Short, Brad Short (Alyssa), Austin, Rylan Jackson, Chelsea Davis (Steve) and Cassie Alexander (Derek); and her niece Linda McCullough (Adkins). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
