She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Gordon and Amelia Gordon (Carr); her husband Jack McElfresh; her siblings, Janina Moran, Wanda Carter, Bernjay Gordon and Donnie Gordon; and her great grandchild Sage Denson.
She is survived by: her children, Nick Gwin (Alice) of Troy, Mark Gwin (Susie) of Troy, Janina Mertz of Troy and Sharon "Mickie" Nimer (Tyler) of Tipp City; her sisters, Ida Mobley of Wilmington and Sharon Anderson of Washington Courthouse; her pet Dolly; and her caregivers, Crystal, Brenda and Suzette. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
