With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon William Adkins of Troy, Ohio, who passed away on June 24, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Vernon William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Earnest and Kate Adkins (Felty); his wife Cherie Lee Adkins (McShane); and his siblings, Ernestine Schmelzl, Curtis Adkins, Kathleen Clay, Drexel Adkins and Marie Kemper.
He is survived by: his sister L. Jean Franz. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
