He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd R. Carpenter and Edna Y. Carpenter; and his siblings, Lowell Carpenter and Karen Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Janet Carpenter (Ammons); his children, Scott (Emily), David (Janine) and Amy Wolfe (Gary); his daughter-in-law Diann Carpenter; and his grandchildren, Robert Carpenter (Juliet), Megan Carpenter (Josh Danoff), Julia and Nicholas Wolfe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
To honor Gary's love of animals, donations may be made in his name to One of a Kind Pet Rescue at 1929 West Market St., Akron Ohio.
