We announce the death of James Vincent Pentello (Uniontown, Ohio), born in Canton, Ohio, who passed away on October 8, 2026, at the age of 80. James Vincent will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sabatino Pentello and Rose Pentello; and his brother-in-law Robert Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Nancy (Scofield); his children, James Pentello II and Tami Pentello-Greene (Brian); his grandchildren, Samuel and Marlina Greene; his siblings, Christine Boyd, Thomas Pentello (Kacie), Rev. Richard Pentello and Joseph Pentello (Beverly); and his brother-in-law Alan Scofield (Debbie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home - Green Chapel (4178 Massillon Rd, Uniontown, OH 44685). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Church (1800 Steese Rd, Uniontown, OH 44685). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM. A reception will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
