With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Ilene Kurtz (Uniontown, Ohio), who passed away on August 4, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Kurtz and Emma Kurtz (Schlabach); her brother-in-law Eldon Yoder; and her sibling's children, Gloria Yoder, Jordan Yoder and Ryan Kurtz.
She is survived by: her siblings, Lillian Helmuth (Simon) of Hicksville, OH, Paula Yoder of Aroda, VA and Philip Kurtz (Sharlet) of Crossville, TN.; and her siblings' children, Robyn Overholt (Martin) of Due West, SC, Angela Yoder of Aroda, VA, Karen Hochstetler (Barry) of Hicksville, OH, Jamie Kurtz of Crossville, TN, Melody Hostetler (Michael) of Kenya, Africa., Jeremy Kurtz of Alliance, OH, Brian Yoder of Charlottesville, VA, Myron Helmuth (Laura) of Harlan, IN and Sheldon Yoder (Joanne) of Aroda, VA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church (10547 Market Ave N, Uniontown, OH 44685).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to Mountain View Nursing Home, 1776 Elly Rd Aroda, VA 22709.
