He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Swoveland and Gertrude Swoveland (Tumbleson); and his siblings, Ted, Jack, Gary, Charles, William Swoveland, Mary Brodbeck and Sue Ann Moyler.

He is survived by: his wife Betty F. Neal; his sons, Michael Swoveland and Jeffery Swoveland (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Zachary Swoveland, Derrick Swoveland and Heidi Michael (John); his great grandchildren, Sofia Swoveland, Tyler, Lily and Bella Michael; and his sister Linda Henderson.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Otterbein-Cridersville Benevolent Care Fund.
