He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur E. Gottfried and Blanche M. Gottfried (Best); his siblings, Lester Gottfried (Martha), Florence Beidelschies (Fred), Norman Gottfried, Arabel Frisch (Charles), Arlene Walton (Charles), Russell Gottfried, Margaret Chandler (Gene) and A. David Gottfried; and his in-law George Reed (Barbara).
He is survived by: his sister Beulah Bishop of Findlay; and his in-law Susan Toth (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Gottfried Nature Center, the Wyandot County Community Foundation, or the charity of the donor's choice, in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home, 226 East Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
