He was predeceased by : his father Russell Swinehart; his brothers, Steven and Timothy; and his brothers-in-law, Dan Lee and John Pool.

He is survived by : his mother Vera Swinehart (Yaussy) of Upper Sandusky; his sister Karen Lee of Upper Sandusky; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Swinehart of Upper Sandusky and Marlene Swinehart of Upper Sandusky. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
