It is with sadness that the passing of John H. Elgin of Upper Sandusky, Ohio is shared. John, born on December 30, 1930, passed away on August 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl H. Elgin and Mildred Elgin (Smith); his wife Marilyn Joyce Scott; and his siblings, Nancy J. Sparks and George R. Elgin.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Gelbaugh (Ken) and Douglas Elgin (Missy Moore); his grandchildren, Scott Gelbaugh (Tanielle) and Carey; his children, Gwen Adams (Keith), Kimberly Scoby (Travis) of Upper Sandusky, JC Elgin (Garrett Lindner), Marshall Elgin, Shelby and Stephany Butler (Albert); his great grandchildren, Alex, Luke, Brooke Gelbaugh and Carey; and his grandchildren, Hayden, Evan Adams, Emillie and John Henry Scoby.
