He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Evans and Mary J. Evans (Boyd); and his sister Jeanne Ann Mohre. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia (McWilliams); his sons, Ryan Evans (April) of Fairborn and Jeff Evans of Upper Sandusky; his grandchildren, Caroline Evans of Visby and Sweden; and his siblings, James Evans (Nancy) of Central Lake and Mary Meier of Lansing, Michigan..

Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
