Choung Lugar Obituary
In loving memory of Choung Lugar of Urbana, Ohio, who departed this world on April 29, 2026 at the age of 87. Choung leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Choung may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Choung touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Choon Soon Hong and Jeun Jung Hee; and her husband John Raymond Lugar. She is survived by: her daughter Chan Foulk (BJ); her brother Pong Hong; her nephew Adam Hong (Maggie); her sisters-in-law, Pamela Arehart (Barry), Tilda Grow and Fredda Westfall (Mark); and her close friend Hyon Ae Wilson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vernon Funeral Home (235 Miami St, Urbana, OH 43078).
