He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Ann Gentis; his mother-in-law Juanita Mattox; his brothers, Daniel and Richard; and his sisters-in-law, Dianne and Sue.
He is survived by: his father Alton Gentis; his wife Sandy Gentis (Mattox); his sons, Christopher (Ashly) and Joshua (Holli); his grandchildren, Dylan, Telanei, Sevonei, Elaei, Carson, Landry, Brookston and Macoy; his siblings, Jody (Kevin) and Ronald; his sisters-in-law, Kay Yates and Janet Gentis; and his siblings' children, Ty Angles and Chase Yates. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and sons.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Gentis Family Farm (3616 Valley Pike, Urbana, OH 43078). A procession will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Terre Haute Cemetery (5899 High St, Urbana, OH 43078). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
