Frances Marilyn Laughman Obituary

We announce the death of Frances Marilyn Laughman of Urbana, Ohio, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 89. Frances will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alpha Faulkner and Edith Faulkner (Evilsizor); her husband Charles Edward Laughman; her great grandchild Brandon Laughman; her siblings, Elden Faulkner (Harriet), Herbert Faulkner (Betty), Richard Faulkner (Jeanie), Donald Faulkner, Edna Shaffer (Lester), Zelpha Arnold and Leah Ludlow (Lee); and her in-laws, Roy, Esther Laughman, Jeannie Boggess (Don), Guy Parrott and Margaret Faulkner.

She is survived by: her children, Ed Laughman (Peggy), Gary Laughman (Valerie), Sheri Thomas (Ryan), Steve Laughman (Heather) and Dianna McIntosh (Darren); her grandchildren, Josh, Rhett, Jacob, Tyler, Jordan Laughman, Gary, Marcus Laughman, Lucas McKeever, Lindsey Curtis, Rebecca, Spencer, Emily Laughman and Maria McIntosh; her brother Nelson Faulkner (Jane); her brother-in-law Russell Arnold; her sister Lillian Parrott; her sister-in-law Sandy Faulkner; and her close friend Bev Littler. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vernon Funeral Home (235 Miami St, Urbana, OH 43078). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Terre Haute Cemetery (6152 OH-55, Urbana, OH 43078).
