He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Leonard, III and Shirley Cross Leonard; and his sister Suzanne Leonard Fisher (Suzie). He is survived by: his children, Amber Leonard of Urbana and James Robert Leonard, Jr. of Springfield; his grandchildren, Atticus Blevins, Kendra Kloeker, Bentley Leonard, Evren Leonard and Oliver Leonard; his siblings, John Cleveland Leonard, IV (Jay) of Sopchoppy, Florida, Mary Leonard Spina (Jim) of Bluff City, Tennessee and Paula Leonard Russell (Kevin) of Bellefontaine; and his pet Scarlett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
