He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrill D. Powell and Mae Burson (Howard). He is survived by: his brother Jeffrey Powell (Bobby Jo); his sibling's children, Austin Powell (Kate), Mason Powell and Chelsea Powell; his great-nephews, Liam Powell-Weber and Finn Powell; and his great-niece Juliette Rose Powell.
