She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Patterson and Rhea Patterson (Anderson); her grandson Derrick Gayheart; and her siblings, Lawrence Patterson (Rosemary), Earl Patterson, Pearl Patterson (Reathel), Roy Patterson and Virginia Rohde (Robert).
She is survived by: her husband Richard Brown Gayheart; her children, Geraldine Scanlon (James), Rick Gayheart (Pamela) and Steven Gayheart; her grandchildren, Richard Hysong (Maria), Terry Hysong (Mallory), James "Jimmy" Scanlon, Gerald Scanlon (Alex), Rainer Gayheart and Reagan Gayheart; her great grandchildren, Carter Hysong, Dakota Scanlon, Rowan Scanlon, Gianna Smith and Hayden Smith; and her sister-in-law Donalene Patterson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Brucker-Baker Funeral Home (34 N Main St, Utica, OH 43080). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at the Wilson Cemetery (4254 Marion Rd NE, Newark, OH 43055).
