He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Burnett and Audrey V. Burnett (Hundley); his daughter Jill Lynn Burnett; and his siblings, Jim Burnett, Bill Burnett, Ted Burnett, Evelyn Martz and Alice Burnett.
He is survived by: his wife Lori L. Burnett (Wilson); his children, Joshua Burnett and Sierra Thatcher (Doug) of Van Wert; his grandchildren, Elliot Ainsworth, Bobby Ainsworth, Nicholas Hammond, David Parsons, Tristen Parsons, Cainan Burnett, Rylan Burnett, Kylerr Burnett and Christian Burnett; his great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Arabella, Brantley Ainsworth, Myles and Mylynn Parsons; and his siblings, Warren Burnett of Custer City, OK, Tim "Alfie" Burnett (Keesha) of Venedocia, Linda Davis, Susan Mayes, Marilyn Foust and Penny.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cowan & Son Funeral Home (616 S Washington St, Van Wert, OH 45891). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Preferred memorials are to Van Wert County Humane Society.
