He was predeceased by: his father Raymond T. VanWynsberghe, Jr.; and his sisters, Cynthia and Linda. He is survived by: his mother Patty VanWynsberghe (Gillespie); his wife Rachel Woodruff; his daughters, Una and Siska (Brownie); his siblings, Danny VanWynsberghe (Rose Marie) of Key West and Mary Schulte (Vern) of Van Wert; and his friends, Matt Woodyard (Carla), Donald Adam (Shelley) and Rod Bowersock (Karla).
