He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward W., Sr. and Dorothy Mengerink (Mumford); his daughter Marcia Ann Mengerink; and his siblings, Edward, Jr., Robert, Franklin "John", Kenneth Mengerink, Joyce Williams, Gloria Miller, Marilyn Dempsey, Patricia Holtsberry and Meridith High.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Mengerink of Van Wert; his children, Donna Carr (Douglas) of Lansing, Donald E. "Bud" Mengerink, Jr. (Rhonda Thatcher) of Van Wert, Ronald Mengerink (Melissa) of Van Wert, Karen Ruddock of Powell and Stephen Mengerink (Kelly) of Van Wert; his grandchildren, Derek Carr, Daina Kraai (Lance), Alexis Wyman, Kristi Thatcher, Ethan Mengerink, Lucas Mengerink, Noah Mengerink (Kortnie), Meagan Ruddock, Alyssa Ruddock, Braeden Ruddock, Hannah Baer (Dillon) and Abbie Mengerink; his great grandchildren, Myakah Kraai, Aiven Kraai, Syder Kraai, Wyatt Mengerink, Anthony Mengerink, Hudson Mengerink, Bristol Baer and Briggs Baer; his siblings, Roger Mengerink (Carol) of Van Wert, Larry Mengerink (Diane) of Van Wert, Charles Mengerink (Melanie) of Ft Wayne and Dorothy Agler of Ohio City; and his pets, Libby and Dottie.
