Douglas Pruden Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Pruden (Van Wert, Ohio), who passed away on August 23, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Douglas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Douglas and Helen Elizabeth Pruden (McKee); his daughters, Christina Boyd and Deana Ladd; and his siblings, Ronald Pruden and Judy Pratt.
He is survived by: his wife Jenny Pruden of Van Wert; his children, Paula Kay Lemon (John) of Angola, IN and Douglas Dean Pruden II (Shaina Johnson) of Van Wert; and his mother-in-law Alma Rhodes of Van Wert. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Van Wert County Humane Society.
