He was predeceased by : his wife Donna Kathryn Hallam; his parents, Joseph Liljegren and Esther Liljegren; his sister Esther Treanore; and his brother-in-law Patrick Hallam.

He is survived by : his sister-in-law Sheila Sanderson (Dana); and his nephew Matthew Hallam (Corina).

Some of his work was donated to the University of St. Francis Art Department in Fort Wayne.
