He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus Gonzalez and Nicolasa Gonzalez; his daughter Mary Ellen Cruz; and his granddaughter Klarisa Mendoza. He is survived by: his wife Guadalupe "Lupe" Gonzalez; his children, Rosie Skelly (Jeff), Joann Castillo, Maria Luisa San Miguel (Joey) and Victor Gonzalez (Jessica); and his siblings, Lupito Gonzalez (Ticha), Joe Gonzalez, Nicolas Gonzalez (Rachel) and Chavela Leija (Manuel). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Home (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A prayer will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Funeral Home (1002 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Ashland Memorial Park Cemetery (21037 Godwin Rd, Harlingen, TX 78550).
