With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Ashford Francis of Van Wert, Ohio, born in Decatur, Indiana, who passed away on August 2, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Wayne and Goldie Francis (Baumgartner); and his brother Larry Francis. He is survived by: his son Andy Francis (Monica); his sister Nancy Roop (Jeff Kantner); and his sibling's children, Kathy Stachler (Jeff), Jason Francis (Jessica) and Bruce Francis. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many "bonus" grandchildren, 3 great nieces, 2 great nephews, 2 great great nieces and 2 great great nephews.
