She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell H. Matthews and Edna Matthews (Gribler); her spouse Jerry Thatcher; and her daughter-in-law Vickie Thatcher. She is survived by: her children, Steven Thatcher of Decatur and Michele Miller (Tim) of Fort Wayne; her grandchildren, Jonathan "Cole" Thatcher of Decatur, Lucas Thatcher of Decatur, Abby Francis (Andrew) of Cary, NC and Joel Miller of Indianapolis; and her sister Janet Mitchell of Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joyce's name may be directed to CHP Homecare and Hospice or the Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
