As Michael departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Michael leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Gabby" Gaskill and Joan Gaskill (Ryan); and his sister Diana "Sis" Gaskill. He is survived by: his sister Rickie Contreras (Robert) of Van Wert, Ohio; and his nieces and nephews, Amber Adkins (Chris) of Van Wert, Ashley Smythe (Justin) of Hebron, Alicia John (Garret) of Van Wert, Corbin Contreras of Celina, Ohio, Terrin Contreras (Mariah), Devin Contreras, Brandon Kline (Natasha) of Van Wert and Nathan Kline (Haleigh) of Paulding.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory (722 S Washington St, Van Wert, OH 45891). A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Convoy I. O. O. F Cemetery (6200-6248, Township Hwy 176, Convoy, OH 45832).
