He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth DuCheney and Ruth DuCheney (Rogers); his stepson Trevor Ellerbrock; and his brother Kent DuCheney. He is survived by: his wife Marlene DuCheney (Rice) of Van Wert; his children, Brian DuCheney of Van Wert and Renee DuCheney King of Georgia; his stepchildren, Travis Ellerbrock (Jodie) of Van Wert and Stacia Feathers Spieth (Ryan) of Convoy; and his sister Carole Long (Ron). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
