It is with sadness that the passing of Ruth A. Girod (Van Wert, Ohio) is shared. Ruth, born on July 23, 1930, passed away on June 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband David C. Girod; her son David L. Girod; her parents, Chester Clay and Grace Lucille Snyder (Stemen); and her siblings, Dale Snyder and Mildred Buechner.
She is survived by: her children, Ellen Dove (Larry) of Van Wert and Dean Girod of Van Wert; her grandchildren, Kari Casto, Stephanie Bulington (Eric), Kristin Girod, Megan Knittle, Felecia Spangler (Harold), Derek Sneed, Alyssa Sneed, Kimberly Campbell (Scott), Luke Girod (Andrea Neiberg), Laura Clementz (Ryan) and Caleb Girod; her stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Sneed and Sherie Noble (Alex); her sister Janice Adams; and her sister-in-law Wileta Collins. She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.
