With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christopher P. Sumner of Vandalia, Ohio, born in Dayton, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 12, 2026 at the age of 42. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father John Fults. He is survived by: his wife Lori Sumner (Heis); his mother Robin Stevens (Dave); his children, Kailey, Mckena, Brooklynn and Christian; his sisters, Kelly Sumner and Jaime Romaker (Josh); his nieces and nephews, Isabella, Sofia and Colt; his sister-in-law Teresa Vanover (Tyler); his nieces and nephews, Cooper, Colton and Cash; his in-laws, John and Sheree Heis; and his pets, Knox, Tinnie and Annie. He is also survived by his family & friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Chris to the Vandalia-Butler Wrestling Program in care of Vandalia-Butler High School.
