He is survived by: his wife Pamela Pennix; his children, John H. Pennix III (Tashira), Brandon J. Pennix, Krystal Miller and James Stroman (Donna); his grandchildren, John H. Pennix IV and Nevaeh King; and his siblings, Gloria Simms (Sheena), Lillian Collins, Johnetta Pennix, Calvin Pennix and Calvert Pennix.
