He was predeceased by: his parents, Eustace Gibson and Emma Gibson; and his siblings, Lois Boyes, Cletus, Leslie and Dennis Gibson.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gibson; his children, Jill Amos (Jeff) and Jason Gibson (Sheena); his grandsons, Chad, Clay Amos, Ryan and Seth Gibson; and his brother Eustace Gibson (Rosemary).
