He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul C. Stelzer and Margaret Stelzer (Nigh); his wife Marilyn; his sister Marilyn Kramer; and his sons, Jay and Stephen.

He is survived by: his children, Cathy of Dayton, Paul of Columbus and Elyse of Coral Springs; his brother Lawrence Stelzer (Margie) of Columbus; and his niece Lenore "Lyn" Kramer of Dayton.
