Dennis Ries Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dennis Ries of Venedocia, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 5, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Dennis farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Dennis is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Edward and Rita Belle Ries (Stahl); and his nephew Ryan Agler. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Rhoades; his daughter Lisa Riffe-Ries of Dublin; his grandson Arlo E. Riffe-Ries; his siblings, Brenda Agler (Eddie) of Van Wert, Dana L. Ries of Sarasota and Bruce A. Ries of Van Wert; and his daughter-in-law Britt Riffe-Ries.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Cowan & Son Funeral Home (616 S Washington St, Van Wert, OH 45891). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
