He was predeceased by: his parents, Byrd Charles and Edith Pettry; his children, Dennis Pettry Jr. and Carrie M. Neff; and his brother Bobby Pettry.
He is survived by: his children, Christina Pettry of Wakeman, OH, Lisa Haponek of Wakeman, OH and Mike Neff of Elyria; his grandchildren, Brandon Pettry of Cleveland, Sierra Sanchez of Lorain, Brittany Hernandez of Lorain, Isabella Neff of Elyria, Olivia Kurpley of Killeen, TX, Tori Brown of Lorain, Mariah Carter of Akron and Noah Capers of Elyria; and his sisters, Sharon Griffith (Rodger) of Amherst, OH and Brenda Smith (Sheridan) of Waynesburg, PA.. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
