He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby L. MacDougall; his parents, Paul MacDougall and Isabell MacDougall; his son-in-law Barry Hammond; and his sisters, Eileen Allen and Corrine Lopatkovich.
He is survived by: his children, Dewona Short (Dennis), Laura Ashworth (William), Janeen Kuczkowski, Isabell Hammond, Scott Payne (Susan) and Dewaine Hobbs; his grandchildren, Walter, Ruby, Joy, Amber, Cameron, Destiny, Lyrick, Justin, Amelia, Elizabeth, Austin, Jenna, Katy and Matthew; and his brothers, Terry MacDougall (Denise) and Greg MacDougall (Sandie). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to an animal or veteran organization of the donor's choice.
