He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Gibson and Elzira Gibson; and his siblings, Clyde Gibson Sr., Verlon Junior Gibson and Betty Lloyd.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Gibson; his children, Benjamin "Ben" Patrick Gibson (Kristi) of Henrietta and Jennifer Lynn Bartlebaugh (Bryan) of Vermilion; his grandchildren, Kayla, Samuel, Luke and Peyton; and his brother Fred Gibson (Dorothy) of Vermilion.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 115 Central Drive, Amherst, OH 44001.
